I’m Sydney––usually found running around London!

I started jogging back in 2014 to improve my mental health and since then I haven’t looked back, gradually increasing over the years from 5k to 10k distances and then to half marathon.
Last April (2019), I ran my first marathon in Brighton for Cancer Research, raising over £1,300 and finishing in 3:48:56—a time I wasn’t expecting and that I’m so proud to have achieved!
My goal now is to improve on this time and run a marathon in under 3:45:00, with my long-term aim being to run a Boston qualifying time (one can dream…)
Following a training plan is something I want to get better at going forward, as is my nutrition (I may be vegan, but I’m far from being health conscious), to help improve my running and my race times, while keeping myself injury-free, especially considering the amount of injuries I’ve suffered in the past!
With that in mind, I’m going to share my training here as I prepare for races—the highs and lows—as well as anything else run-related of interest!
Thanks for reading!
